About the role

We're currently recruiting for a dedicated People Partner to join our dynamic team within our Best Food Logistics business. 

If you have strong people partnering experience, a background working with Trade Unions, and thrive in a blue-collar environment, we want to hear from you!

This role looks after 1 main site (Banbury) which you'll need to be based from around 4 days a week, with 1 day working from home, as well as a satellite site (Taunton) which will require monthly visits. 


Main Responsibilities

  • Partner with key stakeholders to develop and implement people strategies that drive business growth.
  • Provide expert advice on complex employee relations cases, ensuring compliance with policies and employment law.
  • Manage talent, support development, and succession planning.
  • Work on organisational design and change management initiatives.
  • Use data to support people-focused initiatives.
  • Champion colleague engagement, wellbeing, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Focus on performance and absence management.
  • Maintain strong relationships with Trade Union representatives.

You will need

  • CIPD Level 5 or above
  • Strong people partnering experience
  • Experience with Trade Unions and ideally in a blue-collar environment
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Knowledge of employment law and employee relations management
  • A commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion
  • People Management experience
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment, such as distribution or retail
