About the role

Booker Group is recruiting for a Sustainability Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Analyst to play a crucial role in our Sustainability team through supporting sustainability reporting, planning & tracking.


This role will provide analytical support to help deliver all required sustainability reporting, focusing on new and forthcoming legislation, including the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), carbon reporting, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) data, European Deforestation Regulation (EUDR)  and Sustainability target tracking.  You will be responsible for setting up data flows, processes, and controls to ensure the seamless implementation of CSRD requirements and other sustainability related initiatives.


The ideal candidate will have a passion for sustainability and come from a strong process & control background, this role faces into multiple teams across the business to ensure we report timely, accurately and with a strong focus on control and data reliability. 


The role will support the Sustainability Manager with the analytical requirements for current and future emerging sustainability legislation,  along with year-end reporting processes, customer sustainability reporting and support the sustainability team with corporate sustainability targets, measurement and tracking.





Main Responsibilities


•    Supporting the Sustainability Reporting & Analyst Manager in embedding CSRD requirements into the company’s processes, including the implementation of necessary data flows, controls, and reporting structures.

•    Analysing carbon emissions data and help develop accurate carbon forecasts aligned with Group strategy and targets.

•    Collaborating with various internal teams to collect, analyse, and report data on carbon emissions, identifying and implementing areas for improvement in controls.

•    Overseeing the collection, management and validation of EPR & EUDR data, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in line with regulations.

•    Collaborating with internal stakeholders to support customer sustainability reporting data requirements, to ensure accurate, comprehensive, and timely reporting.

•    Setting up data flows, processes, and controls to support the efficient capture and reporting of CSR related data across the organisation.

•    Championing Equality and Diversity and ensure everyone is welcome at Booker.


You will need

•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large sets of data and extract meaningful insights.

•    Proficiency in data management, data visualisation, and reporting tools 

•    Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance.

•    Strong communicator and collaborator, capable of working across various departments.

•    Proactive and self-motivated with a passion for sustainability and ESG initiatives.

•    Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
