Supply Planner

About the role

Booker Group are recruiting for Supply Planner roles working out of our head office at Equity House in Wellingborough. Once fully inducted we offer hybrid working 3 days office based and 2 remote.

In this role, you will be responsible for complete end to end planning and flow of stock from supplier to stores and customers for products under your control, utilising collected data to maximise availability, whilst minimising inventory and wastage.

Main Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of products and suppliers
• Ensuring all processes remain GSCOP compliant.
• Managing process changes in branch orderable products.
• Root causing out of stock and ensure key issues are clearly communicated.
• Managing poor performing suppliers
• Ensuring service level and stockholding targets are achieved and maintained.
• Achieving smooth intake planning by adhering to correct processes.
• Monitoring the value of delisted stock and overstocks and taking action to keep stock levels within agreed targets.
• Identifying seasonality and pro-actively planning to ensure on-shelf availability targets are met.
• Identifying and responding to trends 
• Ensuring the launch of new lines 
• Reviewing, monitoring and maintaining promotional and normal sales forecasts to ensure on-shelf availability targets are met.
• For ensuring maximum availability for the start and during all event activity, ensuring that critical timescales are adhered to and issues escalated to the correct level.
• Fostering good working relationship with the trading team ensuring that a daily route of communication is in place in order to deliver the best service to customer.
• Adhering to all company policies and procedures 
• Escalating any issues to the relevant person/persons

You will need

• Exceptional communication & stakeholder management
• The ability to work independently and provide solutions
• Great attention to detail, writing of reports, interpreting data and keeping of accurate records
• To be curious and to maintain knowledge of relevant markets  and market developments
• Flexibility in your approach     
• Experience in working in FMCG 
• A proven record of working autonomously as well as part of a Team.
